The AAEC and Association of Canadian Cartoonists will be joining with the Cartoon Art Museum in San Franscisco for a 3-day celebration of editorial art and political cartoonists, October 5-8, 2023.

Imprisoned cartoonist honored with Courage Award

Ramón Esono Ebalé received the CRNI "Courage in Editorial Cartooning" award Saturday night during the Association for American Editorial Cartoonists' convention closing banquet Saturday at Hofstra University in Long Island.

Ebalé's family accepted the award on his behalf, as the cartoonist is still imprisoned without charges in Equatorial Guinea. Michael Cavna has the story here. You can watch the emotional presentation here.
